Liedekerke and Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation support the APOPO project. APOPO is a Belgian non-governmental orga- nization (NGO) with headquarters in Tanzania and operations in Mozambique, Thailand, Angola and Cambodia. Its mission is to train giant African pouched rats to use their keen sense of smell for humanitarian purposes - such as land mine detection and clearance as well as tuberculosis detection.
